With a default increment of 30 seconds, we’re asking each device everything they know about their health and operations — not over the network using SNMP and slowing everything down, but over the console port. Then Uplogix can report issues over a variety of channels: directly into centralized monitoring tools like SolarWinds, by creating an event in a ticketing system, via a text message… however you want. The humans will take over now… For Uplogix, the job is only half done. From that console server position, we can also take actions like an admin with a crash cart making informed decisions based on the monitoring data collected and analyzed locally.
