Uplogix Appoints Rahmat Allied Sdn Bhd as First South East Asia Channel Partner
Launch seminar leads to major pilots within education and telecommunication sector
London, UK – January 12, 2009 -; Uplogix, the leading provider of secure remote management (SRM) solutions, today announced Rahmat Allied Sdn Bhd as its first partner in Malaysia and has already begun a number of projects including a feasibility study for a 3,000 node installation within a major educational institution.
“Secure Remote Management is an area with a lot of potential for organizations across our region that want to reduce the cost and complexity of managing distributed IT infrastructure,” explained Mr. Mohd Syahnis Salleh, Director for Rahmat Allied SB. Mr. Salleh believes that rapid expansion of IT infrastructure across Malaysia is hampered by the difficulties of managing remote sites where staff need to be dispatched from central locations to deal with even relatively simple issues.
“We have already delivered a business seminar to a number of major customers and are now in the process of piloting several projects including a proposal around the remote management of wireless hotspots for a large service provider and another large project for a major education institution,” Mr. Salleh continued.
Founded in 2001, Rahmat Allied Sdn Bhd (RASB) has become highly respected within the Malaysian IT community, providing a range of services to high profile clients including Telekom Malaysia, factories and several Government Agencies. “As the first partner offering Uplogix, we hope to both educate and help our potential customers across our region understand the benefits of Uplogix’ innovative Secure Remote Management (SRM) technology, and bring immediate benefit to organizations struggling to reduce the costs associated with managing IT,” Mr. Salleh concluded.
“Asia Pacific offers a lot of potential for Uplogix as deployment of new IT infrastructure is still growing at a phenomenal rate and our technology allows organizations to quickly realize cost savings and operational improvements without major process changes,” commented Andy Harris, Managing Director for EMEA at Uplogix.
“RASB has been very proactive in assessing and evaluating the market, and with their local expertise, technical knowledge and energy, we believe will help establish a strong foothold in an exciting new market,” Harris concluded.
