Overview

You can use the search bar on the Lantronix Control Center to quickly search your inventory groups, Local Managers, and attached devices.

When searching the Control Center, search terms will apply to the following fields:

• Inventory Group Name
• Appliance Hostname
• Appliance IP
• Appliance Build Name
• Appliance Build Number
• Appliance Version
• Appliance OS Version
• Appliance Serial Number
• Appliance Property Name
• Appliance Property Value
• Device Hostname
• Device Description
• Device Make
• Device Model
• Device Serial Number
• Device OS Name
• Device OS Version
• Device Dedicated IP
• Device Management IP
• Device Name
• Device Value
• Device Label
• Virtual Slot IP

Refining a Search

The Search Inventory page appears after submitting search terms, and it allows you to further refine your search.

You can add search terms to the Contains: box and use the checkboxes below to change search behavior.

• Doesn't have - finds items that do not match the search terms, for example, Local Managers whose hostnames don't contain the term "lab"
• Match all - matches the search term exactly, so "lab" will not match "lab2"
• Case sensitive - make the search term case sensitive, for example, so "lab" will not match Local Managers whose hostnames start with "Lab"

Existing search terms will be listed to the right. To remove a term, click the small x next to it.

Results

Search results are presented in three columns: Inventory Groups, Matching Appliances, and Matching Devices.

In this example, the search term Austin only applies to an Inventory group.

In this example, the search term aus matches an Inventory group and two managed devices.

Examples

• Search for all Local Managers running 6.3 by searching 6.3
• Search for all Cisco devices running IOS 12.1(20)EA1 by searching 12.1(20)EA1
• Search for all Cisco devices with "cisco"
• Search for a specific Local Manager using its serial number (AXXXXXXXXX)
• Find all Local Managers and devices on the 192.168.1.0/32 network by searching 192.168.1.
