Uplogix demonstrates localized network management for defense networks at Joint Warfighting 2011
Presentation will show how localized management decreases operating costs while increasing network security at the 5th annual military strategy and warfighting conference
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (May 10, 2011) – Uplogix, the leading provider of localized network management will be exhibiting at the Joint Warfighting 2011 Conference in Virginia Beach this week, providing product demonstrations of the patented Uplogix localized management platform that increases uptime, reduces service costs and improves customer satisfaction in satellite networks.
Deployed on location, Uplogix provides a secure platform to automate network management by integrating the enterprise at the device level, automating response management, and delivering it all on a highly secure platform. With the Uplogix Control Center, operators can manage Uplogix deployments at multiple sites, for easier access and remote troubleshooting.
Uplogix meets the requirements for FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The security features of the Uplogix platform also meet many of the requirements of the DISA Network Infrastructure STIG, including Device Management; Authentication, Authorization and Accounting; and Passwords.
At the Uplogix booth, #817, demos will show the Uplogix platform managing traditional IP networking gear like routers and switches, but capabilities include advanced monitoring and recovery for a wide variety of devices including satellite and SCADA components. With the addition of a managed power controller and an out-of-band source (dial-up, cellular and satellite modems), Uplogix can provide constant, secure access to gear as well as automated recovery and service level monitoring.
