Uplogix Appoints Tom Goldman as New Chief Executive Officer
Seasoned Network Management Veteran Will Drive Company Growth and Guide Market Strategy
Austin, Texas – April 2, 2007 – Uplogix, the only provider of next-generation out-of-band management solutions, today announced that industry veteran Tom Goldman has been named the company’s new chief executive officer. Goldman is an accomplished technology industry executive with a history of rapidly increasing companies’ revenue and profitability.
Uplogix founding chief executive officer, Barry Cox, will assume the role of chief technology officer where he will continue to focus on developing leading technology for Uplogix. “Barry has done a phenomenal job growing Uplogix from inception to its current success, as evidenced by the company’s paradigm-shifting solutions and tremendous customer and partner growth,” said Martin Neath, general partner at Adams Capital Management. “As the adoption for out-of-band management solutions accelerates, Uplogix is poised to become a market leader. Prior to Uplogix, Goldman served as chief executive officer for NetBotz where he drove the company to become the leader in the IT infrastructure protection market, which resulted in the subsequent acquisition by APC. Prior to NetBotz, Goldman served as president and chief operating officer of enterprise software company Apogee Networks, where he was instrumental in expanding the company globally to become a market leader. In addition to his work at NetBotz and Apogee Networks, Goldman has held senior management positions at Xerox Connect, Bell Atlantic Network Integration, Lipe-Rollway and DataNet, Inc. and executive positions at several other start-up companies.
